For more than two decades, Dr. Dickey has built his practice on a simple idea: get to know each person, listen to what matters to them, and earn their trust.
I have a strong sense of ethics and strive to act with integrity. As a dentist, I get to know each of my patients as a person, listening to what's important to them. By creating direct and respectful communication, I earn a person's trust — and that is my goal.
I believe patients should understand their treatment options and be involved in deciding which approach is right for them. By explaining treatments — including their strengths and weaknesses — my patients can make informed decisions and take control of their oral health.
I'm particularly excited about my cosmetic cases, and I'm passionate about making restorative work look as natural as possible. I love achieving natural results in difficult cases and restoring a person's ability to smile without concern.
As a dentist, I feel it's my responsibility to have the most up-to-date education and clinical skills. I pursue continuing education that far exceeds the state minimum — through the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the University of Minnesota, and the Minnetonka Dental Study Club. Areas of particular interest include cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, and dental implants.
My wife, Linda, and I have lived in Excelsior for many years. We have three children — Blake, Ryan, and Paige — and two Cavalier King Charles spaniels, Sadie and Penny. Away from work, being with my family is my priority. I also enjoy staying active — running, biking, skiing, and gardening — and time "up north" at the family cabin with a good book.
